The Saturdays have now released their 3rd full length album On Your Radar and it doesn't disappoint. Switching from their usual pop sound the girls head into a more dancier, clubbier, Electro-pop sound, with the single All Fired Up showing just that. These girls have proven yet again why they are one of the only girl bands still standing after 4 years in the UK. The album from start to finish undergoes several different musical directions.
Opening up with the electro club banger All Fired Up, the girls show their feisty edge. Then proceeding to Notorious, the girls hit the R&B edge. Following up with Faster, the song contains many electro-pop influences. My Heart Takes Over keeps to the earnest heartfelt vocals The Sats are known for. Get Ready, Get Set shows how hot The Sats can get, flirting with the bass and hitting the dance floor hard. The Way You Watch Me see's the girls collaborate with Travie McCoy, a guitar dance number that has a feel good sound to it. Do What You Want With Me has influences of Dubstep and is easily one of the best tracks they have ever recorded. Promise Me sees yet another Dubstep influenced break down and each girl shows their power. Wish I Didn't Know is a pop-rock ballad that showcases these girls can sing and write their own music with carnality. White Lies, possibly one of the more signature pop songs on the album, helps to link the girls back to their first album Chasing Lights. And finally, Last Call see's the girls trying an Adele-esqe type of ballad. With tender vocals and harmonies, this song is without a doubt, the best ballad they've ever recorded.
Overall, I give the album 9.5/10.
