Keep The Saturdays On Your Radar

The Saturdays have now released their 3rd full length album On Your Radar and it doesn't disappoint. Switching from their usual pop sound the girls head into a more dancier, clubbier, Electro-pop sound, with the single All Fired Up showing just that. These girls have proven yet again why they are one of the only girl bands still standing after 4 years in the UK. The album from start to finish undergoes several different musical directions.

Opening up with the electro club banger All Fired Up, the girls show their feisty edge. Then proceeding to Notorious, the girls hit the R&B edge. Following up with Faster, the song contains many electro-pop influences. My Heart Takes Over keeps to the earnest heartfelt vocals The Sats are known for. Get Ready, Get Set shows how hot The Sats can get, flirting with the bass and hitting the dance floor hard. The Way You Watch Me see's the girls collaborate with Travie McCoy, a guitar dance number that has a feel good sound to it. Do What You Want With Me has influences of Dubstep and is easily one of the best tracks they have ever recorded. Promise Me sees yet another Dubstep influenced break down and each girl shows their power. Wish I Didn't Know is a pop-rock ballad that showcases these girls can sing and write their own music with carnality. White Lies, possibly one of the more signature pop songs on the album, helps to link the girls back to their first album Chasing Lights. And finally, Last Call see's the girls trying an Adele-esqe type of ballad. With tender vocals and harmonies, this song is without a doubt, the best ballad they've ever recorded.

Overall, I give the album 9.5/10.

Cobra Starship Night Shades

Following up to 2009's Hot Mess, Cobra Starship is back again with the hits You Make Me Feel Featuring Sabi and #1Nite (One Night), the band releases their fourth studio album Night Shades. The song Fool Like Me happens to be one of my favorites off the new record because the lyrics, while not as catchy as the others, is rather straight forward and rather ridiculous to listen to. I personal have always enjoyed their music and love the new album. Hope you all enjoy as well!

Kelly Clarkson is Back

After being out of the spotlight for over 2 years, Kelly Clarkson is back with her new album Stronger.  Coming back with her pop rock roots and sultry vocals, her new album has a nice sound to it and sounds a lot more cohesive from start to finish. Some of my album favorites are lead single Mr.Know It All, What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger), Dark Side, Standing In Front Of You, The Sun Will Rise, and  The War is Over. Enjoy my favorite song from the album Dark Side!

Earthquakeeeeee

British Rapper/Singer Labrinth released new single Earthquake featuring Tinie Tempah last month. The song rather dance oriented features heavy bass and sizzling effects. The Music video also gives the song a more futuristic vibe with all its special effects. The song debuted at #2 on the UK Top 40, becoming his 3rd top 3 single released since 2010.

The Cab want it Bad

One of my favorite bands to listen to, The Cab are back with a new song called Bad from their new album Symphony Soldier. The rock band have been hard at work compiling a solid album from start to finish. Bad speaks about how he wants a crazy, abnormal type of relationship and not a typical one. The music video, rather plain and simple, giving the song more depth and is shot in the style of slide-show movement. I personally enjoy this song a lot and I can't wait to hear more from The Cab.

The Wanted release Lightning

The Wanted have released their 3rd single Lightning from their sophomore album Battleground, in the UK last week. It debuted at number 2 becoming the bands 5th top ten single. The song speaks about the feelings you experience with your first crush, your first kiss and how frightening yet electrifying it can be. The song while not catchy during the verses becomes addictive with the start of the chorus. My favorite part of the song is the lines " I know, I know that its a little bit frightening, we might as well be playing with Lighting now, oh oh". I

The Wanted are set to release their second album in America in hopes to crack the charts. Lets hope they do well here in the US

ZIV Live!

On Thursday, I had the pleasure to attend the ZIV live Concert here at Lynn University and I must say, I was blow away by the amount of talent these guys have. The lead singer, Ziv, started the band way back in 2003 and has since released 4 self-produced albums. He writes his own heartfelt lyrics from topics such as Love, heartbreak, sex, finding out who you are, apology's, having fun, and life problems. The band was AMAZING! They are super friendly and very understanding. Lynn University's organization KAT (Knights Activities Team) brought them to campus and I'm so happy they did. Their new album Symphony Heart is out now and it has some really great songs. I personally love: Erase Me, Lay Down, A Love Like This, Fear and Crazy Inside. If this is your kind of music, buy their cd on iTunes or their official website.
